Is it a dumbphone?
Far from it! While a dumbphone only allows text and calls, the Wellphone can access all apps available through the Google Play Store.

Is it suitable for children?
The Wellphone is an excellent choice for introducing your child to a less immersive device, helping them treat the phone as a tool rather than a toy. We’re also working on a partnership to integrate an app with built-in safety features, which will come preinstalled and can’t be easily deleted. Can I use it with my current phone provider?
Yes, It’s optimised for all New Zealand phone providers.

Can I travel with it?
Yes, the Wellphone supports 3G & 4G internationally, except in the US, due to different bandwidth requirements.

Does it support SIM cards?
Yes, it supports one micro SIM card but is not compatible with dual SIM or digital SIM cards.

How long does the battery last?
With regular use (navigation, email, and other general tasks), the Wellphone only needs charging every other day. Because you'll be using it more mindfully, it may last even longer. However, using hotspot will drain the battery faster.

Can I use it for Bluetooth and hotspot?
Yes, you can use Bluetooth and hotspot features.

Can I use it for online banking?
Absolutely.

Can I use social media?
Social media apps don’t come preinstalled, but you can download them if you choose. The Wellphone’s small screen makes it easier to check and exit quickly, helping you avoid endless scrolling.

How about messaging apps?
Yes, you can use messaging apps like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and others.

Does it support apps?
Yes, it supports all apps available on the Google Play Store.

Does it have a camera?
Yes, it has a 5MP rear camera for simple photos and sharing, but it’s not designed for frequent photography. The 2MP front camera is located next to the # key.

Does it support NFC?
No, the Wellphone does not support NFC or wireless payments.

Does it have a headphone jack? Can I use it for music or podcasts?
It has a USB-C port, so you’ll need an adapter for a 3.5mm plug. Bluetooth headphones work great for streaming music and podcasts.
